About

I’m Christophe Heereman aka (Padre) Pedro. I live in Hillegem, a small village in Belgium, am happily married (yes, that exists!) and have 1 son (a second child is coming in the next few days). At the age of 36 I’m not a youngster anymore, but I’m really trying to not become an old, grumpy bear.

I work as a Windows Server system administrator/engineer/architect for the Flemish authorities in Belgium (more precisely for “Departement Landbouw en Visserij”, which is the department for agriculture and fisheries). The following are my focus points:
* Windows: client (classic and mobile) and server, including all the features and roles built-in (so I’m also talking about AD DS, AD FS, AD CS, RDSH, IIS, WSUS, WDS, Failover Clustering, NLB, etc. etc.)
* System Center: especially SCCM
* Microsoft SQL Server (but without embracing professional DBA stuff)
Of course I try to broaden my experiences and knowledge, but these are the topics I deep-dive into. I’m also into scripting (Windows PowerShell) and programming (.NET Framework: desktop apps with C# and UWP apps with C# and XAML).

Through this blog I try to inform fellow tech dudes, while at the same time it’s a good technical archive for myself. I hope you guys enjoy my writings, although sometimes the posts are really meant to have an in-depth taste (the how, why, when, where and so on are sometimes important too, you know!). The name of this blog is “WinDoh”, which is some kind of “brand” for all of my “products” (in the broad sense of the word).
If you wish to contact me, you may do so through this blog (see below for the contact form).

Have fun!
Padre Pedro
